Samora is the main street in the city of Dar-Es-Salaam. It got this name from One of the African heroes who was killed by the South Africas Apartheid regime in 1986. Samora Machel was the president of Mozambique. He was returning home from a visit to Zambia. As his plane got near the border with South Africa, his plane lost communication-intercepted deliberately by the boers, and the plane went down. President Samora Machel died instantly. The Boers denied it of course. This year the government of South Africa have opened up a new investigation over that "airplane accident". The Apartheid Regime have been blaming Samora for many years of helping A TERRORIST organization, that is, African National Congress (ANC), whose founder,
Nelson Mandela, was in prison serving a life sentence for his
TERRORIST activities...
(above is the picture of the late Samora, and below it is Samora avenue in Dar)
There is something fascinating in this famous street. Tomorrow i'll tell you a secret of Samora Avenue.
